Now Playing -Loveland, Your February Playlist
Though it’s the shortest month of the year, February makes the most of its 28 days by celebrating all things love with Valentine’s Day, honoring and remembering the magnificent heritage of African-Americans, and kicking off the start of this year’s Mardi Gras season.
So, in an effort to encapsulate just a bit of this month’s goodness, we tapped Antwane Cowen, a musicophile and co-host of The Madness Collective, to curate this month’s playlist. With throwbacks like Queen Latifah’s “Ladies First”, James Brown’s “I’m Black and I’m Proud, and Sounds of Blackness’ “Optimistic”, this playlist is the perfect soundtrack when we need a gentle reminder to love ourselves.
