Alone at a small corner table in a coffee shop, I pulled out my newest prize from the local library, “I Could Do Anything If I Only Knew What It Was: How to Discover What You Really Want and How to Get It” by Barbara Sher. Handling the book with great care, I opened it, eager to absorb all of its great secrets, secrets that would surely change my life and place me squarely on the path to the amazing career and life that presently eluded me.

Working Through a Pandemic
Covid-19 has forever changed life as we know it. To date, Covid-19 has claimed over 200,000 lives and counting in the US alone and has infected approximately 7.1 million US citizens. As with most public health crises, the impact on communities of color has been significant with African-American and Latinx communities contracting the virus and dying of the virus at a much higher rate than white Americans per NPR.

Data Brokering: The Completely Legal Way Your Personal Info is Being Pirated
Years ago, out of sheer curiosity, I sat down and googled myself. The results both stunned and horrified me. Within a span of five minutes, I was able to pull up my current address, a shockingly accurate list of all of my prior addresses, the names, addresses, and ages of multiple relatives, my job history, and a slew of other information that I would never EVER publicly publish. I was devastated.

New Year, Newish Me!
AmPopsy…It’s that time again!! You know what it is…it comes every year like clockwork- Happy New Year!! And much like preparing your annual tax return, it is a time for an endless supply of hope that you will receive a kind of windfall in life, quietly fearing the truth will be quite the opposite. But alas, it’s only the first week, so let’s stay hopeful and ambitious, folks!
