      Supporting and Uplifting Black Women

It’s no secret that black women continue to bear the brunt of society’s ills. From pay disparities to the lack of access to leadership opportunities in corporate America despite being more than qualified, we are subjected to countless negative stereotypes and microaggressions that constantly chip away at our self-esteem and self-worth. And while this is in no way new or surprising, it does reinforce the need for spaces and places that not only protect us, but uplift, inspire, and empower us.

FAT Tuesdays – Covid and Your Taxes

While April showers do indeed bring May flowers, they also bring panic and stress as last-minute Annies such as myself anxiously rake through stacks of papers and digital files to sort and file all necessary documents on time. While the IRS has graciously extended the tax filing deadline until May 15th of this year, this has only extended my procrastination and anxiety about gathering all of my documents in a timely manner.

      Congratulations Biden x Harris!!!!

Sometimes you gotta make some noise to be heard… “Kick a Little” by Little Texas And make ourselves heard, we did. By showing up and voting in RECORD numbers, we not only made Joe Biden the 46th President of the United States of America, but we also voted in Kamala Harris -the first woman, the first African-American, and the first Asian-American – to ever in the history of this nation hold the second-highest office in this country as our new Vice-President Elect. And that is something truly worth celebrating.
