Letter From The Editor…

New Year, New Beginnings. This is what January usually represents. A time of rebirth and renewal. A time to redefine who we are and what we stand for. A time to plan for the future. Set goals, make timelines, and start anew.

For almost every January since I can remember, I’ve maintained an almost religious ceremony of reflecting on the past year and writing down my intentions and goals for the new year. But this year, I didn’t.

Admittedly, I’m still reeling from the events of 2020. Every day is a day that I struggle with fear, anxiety, doubt, and loneliness. Sometimes, those feelings are fleeting. Other times, they keep me awake at night as I wrestle with how to reclaim my strength and my hope in a time that continues to seem so very difficult.

So, this month, at AmPopsy, we’re exploring and celebrating resiliency. We’re celebrating our ability as a nation, as a community, and as individuals to rebuild, reshape, and reimagine ourselves and our futures.

As I embark on my own personal journey this year to rediscover my courage, my strength, and my hope for the future, I hope that you’ll also take the time to tune into the areas in your life that are most in need of the spirit of resiliency.

We survived 2020. Now it’s time to make 2021 the year that we’ve been waiting for our whole lives.
